In a major social welfare intervention, the wife of the Jigawa State Governor, Amina Namadi, has sponsored a mass wedding for 300 less-privileged orphans from across the state’s 27 local government areas.

Key Highlights:

  • Amina Namadi sponsored a mass wedding for 300 less-privileged orphans across Jigawa State.
  • The initiative involved 150 couples drawn from the state’s 27 local government areas.
  • The wedding ceremony was held in Dutse, the state capital.
  • Brides and grooms wore coordinated outfits provided through the office of the first lady.
  • Organisers said the programme aims to support vulnerable families, promote social inclusion, and strengthen family stability in communities across the state.

The initiative, designed to support vulnerable families and empower orphaned youths, saw 150 couples officially united during a colourful ceremony held in Dutse, the state capital.
