The Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government, Elder Godwin Ogorugba, has approved the suspension of Comrade Joshua Alebe, the Supervisor for Environment. This follows an emergency meeting held earlier today with political appointees of the council.
According to an official statement released by Ikrumale Monday Gideon, Director of New Media to the Executive Chairman, Alebe’s suspension is the result of issues bordering on misconduct. The disciplinary action will last for one month, during which he will forfeit his salary, benefits, and will be excluded from all official engagements.
The public has also been cautioned against interpreting Alebe’s recent comments and social media activities as reflective of the official stance of the council. “Any statements or write-ups made by Comr. Alebe Joshua Onos are strictly his personal opinions and do not represent the views of the Executive Chairman or the Isoko North Local Government,” the statement emphasized.
It was further clarified that Alebe does not hold any official communication role within the council. “He is neither the Chief Press Secretary nor a Media Aide to the Chairman and, therefore, lacks the authority to speak on behalf of the administration,” the Director of New Media stated.
