The chairman, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Kaduna chapter, Jacob Zango, said the maiden edition of the Inter-Chapel Games by Kaduna State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) will be an event to remember.
He made this statement on Monday after the inaugural ceremony of the five-man committee constituted to organise the event by the chairman NUJ chapter of Kaduna.
According to Jacob, head of the committee with Abdulwaheed Adubi as secretary, they will ensure they put in their best to make the maiden edition remarkable.
”I can assure you that we will give you the best, and games to remember for long,” he said during the inauguration on behalf of the committee.
In her earlier remark, the chairman of NUJ Kaduna, Comrade Asmau Halilu, while inaugurating the committee pointed that the members of the committee have been selected based on their capacities.
Halilu stressed that the council expect a lot of accomplishments from the committee and promised that NUJ will be readily available to give full support to ensure they succeed.

”We expect a lot from you, in view of what we see as the capabilities of the members. Be assured that we will give you all the necessary support to deliver on this,” Ms Halilu reiterated.
NUJ noted that the one week event scheduled from June 25 to July 2 is expected to host several games like Scrabble, Ludo, Draughts, Table Tennis, Table Soccer and Ayoo.
The organisers of the event added that successful winners in different categories will be rewarded accordingly with prizes.
Other members of the quintuplet-committee are Bosan Yakusak, Mayen Etim and Ahmed Usman.
