Renowned football agent Mino Raiola has finally given up the ghost after battling an underlying ailment at the Intensive Care Unit of San Raffaele Hospital. Raiola was rumoured to have died earlier, prompting Alberto Zangrillo, a professor of anesthesiology to rebuff it.
However, he died yesterday at 54. According to a statement by his family, Raiola fought with the same strength he exerts at the negotiating table to defend players for his life.
They acknowledge that the contributions of the former football agent to Paul Pogba, Erling Haaland, and other renowned players in Europe, will continue with the same passion after his demise.
The statement read: “In infinite sorrow, we share the passing of the most caring and amazing Football Agent that ever was. “Mino fought until the end with the same strength he put on negotiation tables to defend our players. As usual, Mino made us proud and never realised it.

“We thank everybody for the huge amount of support received during these difficult times and ask for respect to the privacy of family and friends in this moment of grief,” the statement added.
