Counsel to the Rivers State government in the case disclosed this at the weekend adding that parties to the suit have been asked to submit written applications ahead of the sitting.
The issue of VAT collection had generated litigations between FIRS and some state governments. It would be recalled that Rivers and Lagos State governments had enacted laws and canvassed decentralization of collection, while some states, especially in the North favored centralized collection.
