The Chairman of Ezza South Local Government Area, Mrs. Euphemia Nwali, has commended the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, for what she described as three years of impactful leadership, transformational governance and unprecedented development across the state.
Speaking while reflecting on the governor’s third anniversary in office, Nwali said Governor Nwifuru’s administration has continued to deliver on its mandate through strategic investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, human capital development and rural transformation.
According to her, the administration’s development agenda has positively impacted communities across the state, particularly in Ezza South Local Government Area, where several developmental projects have been executed.
She noted that the construction of over two kilometres of roads in different communities within Ezza South has improved accessibility, enhanced economic activities and brought government closer to the grassroots.
The council chairman also applauded the governor for the construction of traditional rulers’ palaces, describing the initiative as a bold step towards strengthening traditional institutions and preserving the cultural heritage of Ebonyi people.
Nwali further extolled Governor Nwifuru for sustaining peace and security across the state, stressing that the prevailing atmosphere of peace has created an enabling environment for development and investment.
“Governor Nwifuru’s development agenda has touched every corner of Ebonyi State.
“His administration has demonstrated uncommon commitment to the welfare of the people through projects and programmes that are directly impacting lives and transforming communities,” she said.
She described the governor’s scholarship programme as one of the most remarkable achievements of the administration, noting that over 1,000 Ebonyi indigenes have benefited from local and overseas scholarship opportunities.
According to her, many beneficiaries from Ezza South Local Government Area are among those currently pursuing academic excellence in various institutions within and outside Nigeria.
Nwali also highlighted the successful construction and commissioning of the Chuba Okadigbo International Airport runway within the first year of the administration, describing it as a landmark achievement that has positioned Ebonyi State for greater economic opportunities and global relevance.
She equally commended the establishment of the University of Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering, Onueke, in Ezza South Local Government Area, alongside the ICT University in Oferekpe, noting that the institutions will serve as catalysts for technological advancement, innovation and economic growth.

The local government chairman further applauded the administration’s achievements in healthcare delivery, agricultural development, potable water supply, youth and women empowerment, job creation and workers’ welfare.
She noted that the governor’s empowerment programmes have provided economic opportunities for thousands of citizens, while agricultural interventions have enhanced food production and improved livelihoods across the state.
“From infrastructure development to education, healthcare, agriculture, youth empowerment and human capital development, Governor Nwifuru has shown visionary leadership and an unwavering commitment to building a prosperous Ebonyi State.
“The people of Ezza South are proud beneficiaries of this administration’s numerous developmental strides and remain grateful for the establishment of the University of Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering in our area, as well as other life-changing projects and programmes,” she added.
Nwali congratulated Governor Nwifuru on his successful three years in office and expressed confidence that his administration would continue to deliver greater dividends of democracy to the people.
