Okoye, who served as the chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel during the administrations of former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, died on July 15 at the National Hospital, Abuja, following a brief illness at the age of 74.
A statement issued by the family on Friday in Abuja, said the burial programme would begin with a service of songs at the Cathedral of Compassion, All Christians Fellowship Mission, Maitama, Abuja, on September 30.
The service is scheduled to hold from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The family also announced a night of tributes and honour in memory of the late cleric at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, on October 2 between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
According to the programme, Okoye’s remains will subsequently be taken to Anambra State for a wake-keep at St. Peter’s Anglican Church Field, Agulu, on October 8 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on October 9 from 9 a.m., after which the late cleric will be buried at his compound in Amatutu Village, Agulu.
The burial activities will conclude with an outing service at Agulu Town Hall on October 11 at 9 a.m.
Okoye is survived by six children and nine grandchildren, including Victor Okoye, a journalist with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
