The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old man, Peter Sinamai, for allegedly killing his biological father and dumping the body in a well in Sangere, Gombi Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday in Yola.
According to the statement, the suspect was arrested after operatives of the command received a report of the incident.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Sinamai allegedly killed his father before disposing of the body in a well within their community.
The Commissioner of Police, Kabiru Hassan, has ordered a discreet and thorough investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged crime.

The command added that Sinamai would be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
Reacting to the incident, the commissioner of police condemned the alleged act and reiterated the command’s commitment to ensuring that justice is served.
He also appealed to residents to adopt lawful and peaceful means of resolving family disputes and to seek appropriate intervention whenever conflicts arise instead of resorting to violence.
The police assured the public that further updates on the case would be provided as investigations continue.
