Nigeria’s Falconets continued their preparations for the forthcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup with a spirited 1-1 draw against All Star International FC Men in a friendly match played on Tuesday at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja.
The encounter, which kicked off at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, formed part of the Falconets’ build-up to the global tournament, offering the coaching crew another opportunity to test the team’s readiness against a side comprising experienced former professional footballers.
All Star International FC Men took the lead in the 25th minute, capitalising on an early opportunity to go in front before the break.

The Falconets responded strongly in the second half, with Mary Mamuda finding the back of the net in the 52nd minute to restore parity and ensure the closely contested fixture ended in a draw.
Head Coach Moses Aduku and his technical team used the friendly to evaluate the players’ tactical discipline, fitness levels and overall performance as preparations for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup gathered momentum.
The result extends the Falconets’ programme of competitive warm-up matches aimed at sharpening the squad ahead of the tournament, with the coaching staff expected to continue fine-tuning the team before their departure.
