Reflecting on the milestone, he said: “After 45 years of chaos, glitter, survival, reinvention, controversy, resilience, heartbreak and triumph, I remain the greatest love story I’ve ever known.”

Denrele explained that the self-marriage was not about replacing conventional relationships, but rather recognising and appreciating the person who had remained constant throughout every chapter of his life.

He noted that the ceremony symbolised an embrace of every version of himself—from moments of struggle and uncertainty to periods of success and personal growth.

“I am the bride and the groom. And I am marrying every version of myself that fought to get here. Today, I marry the only person who never left my side: me,” he wrote.

The media personality, known for his bold fashion choices and unconventional approach to self-expression, concluded his message by describing himself as “The Bride. The Groom. The Happily Ever After.”

His announcement has since attracted widespread reactions across social media, with many fans praising the message as a powerful statement on self-acceptance, personal growth and resilience as he celebrates a new chapter of life.
