Veteran Nigerian musician Daddy Showkey has appealed to Peter, Paul and Jude Okoye to put aside their differences and reconcile, warning that their prolonged family dispute could negatively affect future relationships between their children.
Speaking during an interview on Yanga FM, the music veteran expressed concern over the lingering conflict within the Okoye family, saying the public nature of the disagreement could leave lasting consequences beyond the current generation.
The feud between the former Psquare members and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, has repeatedly played out in the public domain, with accusations and counter-accusations involving financial dealings, business interests and family relationships.
Reacting to the situation, Daddy Showkey suggested that the pressures of fame and financial success may have contributed to the breakdown in the brothers’ relationship.
He urged them not to allow disputes over money to permanently destroy their family bond, adding that some of the issues could have been resolved privately rather than becoming prolonged public controversies.

According to him, the brothers are mature enough to settle their disagreements without allowing pride and ego to prolong the conflict.
The veteran entertainer also warned that the continuing hostility could eventually influence how members of the next generation of the Okoye family relate to one another.
“I see that when fame comes, it affects people. They should not be arguing because Jude deducted some money. Maybe it was a mistake,” he said.
“They are not small children. This whole thing will affect their own children as well.”
“If you even see the way they are all talking, you will see ego.”
Daddy Showkey’s comments come amid renewed public attention surrounding the long-running dispute involving Peter and Paul Okoye, who rose to continental fame as the music duo Psquare, and their elder brother and former manager, Jude.
Once regarded as one of Africa’s most successful musical groups, the Okoye brothers have experienced years of family and business disagreements, with several attempts at reconciliation ending in fresh public disputes.
