Chinese Pastors Visit Canaanland

The Chinese pastors’ visit to Winners’ Chapel took place at Canaanland, the headquarters of Living Faith Church Worldwide in Ota.

During the service, Bishop David Oyedepo introduced the visiting pastors to the congregation and welcomed them to the platform.

Church-related reports from the period said the delegation comprised 44 Chinese pastors who had travelled to Nigeria to honour Oyedepo around his 70th birthday celebrations.

Oyedepo, who was born on September 27, 1954, founded Living Faith Church Worldwide after receiving what the ministry describes as a divine mandate in 1981.

Chinese Pastor Speaks About Nigeria’s ‘Revival Grace’

Speaking through an interpreter, one of the Chinese pastors explained that the delegation had come because of what they believed was a special spiritual revival taking place in Nigeria.

The pastor reportedly said the group wanted to “drink the grace” they associated with Oyedepo’s ministry.

According to the account, he said he had earlier felt directed to visit spiritual leaders in Nigeria and identified Bishop Oyedepo as the first person who came to mind.

The visiting pastor also said the delegation considered themselves privileged that Oyedepo personally laid hands on members of the group.

Chinese Pastors Share Vision For China

The visiting ministers linked their trip to an ambitious evangelistic vision for China.

They expressed a desire to return home with the spiritual impartation they believed they had received in Nigeria and use it in their ministry.

The pastor also spoke about a goal of reaching large numbers of people with Christianity, reportedly expressing an ambition to win one billion souls and expand the Christian faith across China.

Those statements represent the delegation’s stated religious aspirations rather than an independently measurable projection.

Oyedepo Prays For Revival In China

Following the remarks by the visiting pastor, Bishop Oyedepo responded with a public blessing.

He declared that the delegation’s vision would be fulfilled and spoke of an expansion of Christianity and revival in China.

The moment was subsequently circulated on social media and Christian-focused online platforms, attracting attention among followers of Winners’ Chapel and viewers interested in the international reach of Nigerian Pentecostal ministries.

Winners’ Chapel’s International Reach

The visit also highlighted the international connections of Living Faith Church Worldwide, popularly known as Winners’ Chapel.

The church was founded by Bishop David Oyedepo in 1981 and has its international headquarters at Canaanland in Ota. The ministry says it operates churches across Nigeria and several other countries.

Oyedepo is also known for his extensive publishing ministry. According to a Winners’ Chapel ministry profile, his books have been translated into several languages, including Chinese, reflecting the ministry’s international audience.

Why The Chinese Pastors’ Visit Matters

For the visiting pastors, the trip represented both an opportunity to honour Oyedepo and a spiritual encounter they believed could strengthen their ministry work in China.

For Winners’ Chapel, the appearance of the delegation provided another example of the international relationships developed around Canaanland and Oyedepo’s ministry.

The description of Nigeria as a source of “revival grace” remains a matter of religious belief expressed by the visiting pastors and the Nigerian church leadership.

The longer-term impact of the visit on Christian ministry in China cannot be independently established from the ceremony itself.
