Popular Nigerian skit maker and streamer Carter Efe has stirred fresh reactions online after a viral video showed him swallowing his pride and begging the longtime manager of Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, Sunday Are, to reconnect him with the singer.

In the trending clip, Carter Efe openly admitted that his previous attacks on the singer were fueled by frustration over being ignored. Speaking directly to Sunday Are, he pleaded for help in reaching the Starboy boss.

“Tell Wizkid to help me, abeg. I love Wizkid. The reason I was insulting him was that he didn’t reply me. I just wanted his attention.”

The emotional confession marks another chapter in the rollercoaster relationship between Carter Efe and Wizkid. Despite achieving massive success with his 2022 hit Machala, a song inspired by the singer, Carter has repeatedly voiced disappointment over what he believes is a lack of acknowledgement from his idol.

Over time, that frustration spilled into public criticism, controversial comments, apologies, and even a celebrity boxing challenge aimed at Wizkid. However, his latest remarks suggest the content creator may be looking to put the drama behind him.

Many social media users also praised Sunday Are’s response to the situation. Rather than dismissing Carter Efe, the veteran manager reportedly listened attentively before taking him aside for a private discussion, a move many described as mature and respectful.

The video quickly gained traction online, sparking mixed reactions from fans.

@Owowale1 wrote “He wants Wizkid’s attention so badly. You can tell it pains him that Wizkid never acknowledged him.”

@The_Heraphim said “I like Carter, but him suppose know say no be all artist get mind to sit with am for inside room with the way craze just full him body
Make him just forget big wiz, some artist no just like noisy enviro”

@douglas_er11201 commented, “You see how Kcee left you? That’s how others will leave when the hype is gone.”

@OluwafemiP37455 added, “Big Wiz isn’t somebody you joke around with.”

Meanwhile, @Lazarus_Austine defended Carter Efe, arguing, “They asked him who he wanted to fight next, and he mentioned Wizkid. People took it too seriously.”

While critics accused Carter Efe of repeatedly using Wizkid’s name to stay relevant, supporters insisted his actions stem from genuine admiration rather than malice.

As of now, Wizkid has not publicly reacted to the latest plea, maintaining the silence that has defined his relationship with Carter Efe despite years of public declarations, criticism, and reconciliation attempts.
