Baba Ijesha reportedly made the allegation in a video posted on X, claiming that he called Mr Latin more than 25 times after returning from prison, but the actor allegedly refused to answer his calls and gave him “countless excuses.”
“Mr. Latin is an opportunist. I called him more than 25 times when I came back from prison, but he snubbed me. He was giving me countless excuses,” Baba Ijesha was quoted as saying.
The statement has triggered a wave of reactions on X, with several users accusing the actor of showing little remorse over the case that led to his imprisonment.
Reacting to the development, @MercyG10306 wrote: “He just treated you how you are supposed to be treated. Kudos to him. You are so audacious. You are not even remorseful.
“You don’t even seem to see the gravity of what you committed. This is not even about condemnation. But the truth is,nobody should redeem someone who isn’t remorseful for hurt!ng others.”

Another user, @ayumzi, described Baba Ijesha as “a bold thief” and questioned his attitude after serving time. “The man is a bold thief! People come out from doing time and feel remorseful, seek repentance and closure with the recipient of their wicked act or stupidity – some even offer atonement.
“The way this man goes about unconcerned, and even starts gallivanting as if he wasn’t convicted in court -or he went to prison for a political cause baffles my mind. It truly scares me about the jungle called Nigeria,” the user wrote.
However, @seniormanng offered a different interpretation of Baba Ijesha’s use of the word “opportunist.” “Please don’t take that word opportunitist wey he talk to heart o, Baba ljesha’s own definition of opportunist is someone who has opportunity, not someone who takes advantage of any opportunity to advance their own situation,” the user wrote.
Another user, @raffhell, reacted: “Omo this life sha. When you need people most, that’s when they show their true colors.”
@BIZAmOnEy, however, criticised Baba Ijesha’s response, writing: “This guy still get confidence Dey talk anyhow Kai this country is gone.”
Also reacting, @jodexxy wrote: “Sir. Be glad you’re free now and found a woman who genuinely loves you and has decided to stick with u.
“These are real BIG wins when u consider what took you behind bars. Be Grateful for this. You put him in a dire, compromising situation by even calling him. I won’t pick either.”

@OTIN also criticised Baba Ijesha, writing: “You threw your life away because you like underage pussy now you wan dey gaslight us. Park.”
Meanwhile, @BayKenny, posting as ‘The Law’ of Ekiti, said Baba Ijesha should understand that some people may not want to associate with him because of his conviction.
“This man has to understand that he’s an ex-convict, not every body wants to identify with someone convicted of the grievous offence of molesting a child. He should just wrap it up!” the user wrote.
