Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has fueled speculation that she has completely moved on from her estranged husband, music icon Innocent Idibia, after replacing a tattoo of his surname with a butterfly.
The actress unveiled the new tattoo in a photo shared on her Instagram page, where the butterfly now covers the “Idibia” inscription that was previously tattooed on the left side of her chest.
The image quickly went viral, with many fans interpreting it as a symbolic step in her healing journey.
The development comes days after Annie dismissed rumours suggesting she had reunited with the singer following the circulation of videos showing them together at a nightclub.
She clarified that the clips were old and insisted they did not signal a reconciliation.
“Old videos circulating everywhere. False news everywhere,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
She later reinforced her stance in a Snapchat post, declaring: “Old videos circulating everywhere. False news everywhere. Lies, lies, lies and more lies! Annie is single!
