The Kano State Fire Service has disclosed that property worth more than N132.45million were destroyed in several fire incidents across the state in November.
The service also confirmed three deaths, with four people rescued during fires last month.
A statement issued by the state fire service spokeswoman, Saminu Abdullahi on Wednesday, stated that the service responded to 43 fire calls, six false alarms and five rescue operations from its 29 fire stations throughout the state.

In addition, it said the service saved N310.6million worth of property, just as it also addressed five rescue calls and six false alarms.
‘Similarly, the service received emergency calls from its 29 fire stations across the state. I will use this opportunity to draw the attention of the general public to handle fire with care to avoid fire incidences, most especially during the current harmattan season.
“All motorists must drive with care, as well as abide by the traffic laws, especially when traveling for the Christmas holiday to avoid road accidents,” she added.
