The Nigerian Air Force received 63 new aircrafts into its fleet in the last three years, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar has revealed.
Air Marshal Abubakar made this known at the air force training, operations and safety seminar for the year 2024 on Wednesday in Abuja.
He said that the air force has made significant progress in modernizing its fleet and enhancing operational readiness with support from President Bola Tinubu.
The chief of air staff said that the force has experienced significant growth and operational success under the current administration, and is committed to building upon its past accomplishments.

Air Marshal Abubakar praised all air component commanders of the various military operations for their extraordinary leadership and performance, encouraging them to build on their achievements and strive for greater greatness.
In terms of training, the air chief stated that the air force had made considerable progress in 2024, with 405 airmen and 186 officers finishing various international courses, seminars and excursions, while 64 others are currently undergoing various courses.
He added that 5,474 and 1,331 personnel respectively, had completed and were undergoing various local training courses.
