MultiChoice Nigeria Extends Decade-Long Partnership
Hit 95.9 FM, the Cross River-based station that organises the Calabar Entertainment Conference and Festival (CECF), announced the renewal. The partnership has run since the event began, according to the organisers.
The gathering brings together entertainment professionals, creatives and emerging talents to connect and exchange ideas. Organisers say the programme expanded into a two-day event in 2024. Hit 95.9 FM’s announcement outlines the renewal and this year’s programme.
Calabar Entertainment Conference Returns in October

Patrick Ugbe, executive producer of the festival, described the relationship with MultiChoice as more than a commercial sponsorship, saying it reflects continued support for Nigeria’s creative industry. He expressed appreciation for the company’s backing as the event enters its 10th year.

Tope Oshunkeye, senior vice president for communications at MultiChoice Nigeria, said the company was pleased to continue its relationship with CECF. He said the partnership aligns with its interest in supporting creative talent and contributing to Nigeria’s entertainment ecosystem.
The renewal marks a decade of partnership. Organisers expect the October programme to bring together creative professionals, emerging talents and members of the public for the two-day event in Calabar.
