Tiwa Savage Responds: “Pick a Date”
Tiwa replied to Teni’s call-out in the Instagram comments: “Pick a date.” Her response extended the social-media exchange but does not confirm that an organised bout is in the works.
There is no officially announced date, promoter, venue, rules or purse for a Teni–Tiwa Savage boxing match. Until an organiser confirms those details, the proposed fight remains a playful celebrity challenge.
Celebrity Boxing Gains Attention in Nigeria
The exchange comes amid wider interest in celebrity boxing in Nigeria. Phyna and actress Nkechi Blessing faced each other in Lagos on October 1 at Balmoral Group Promotions’ Chaos in the Ring event. Punch reported on the Phyna–Nkechi bout. Entertainers associated with recent celebrity boxing matchups include Portable, Charles Okocha, Speed Darlington and Carter Efe.
Teni linked her challenge to her comments about entertainers’ earnings and high-value purchases. Tiwa’s “Pick a date” reply has prompted speculation, but a real event would still need a confirmed organiser and terms.
