Reactions have continued to trail the arrest of a married woman after her lover reportedly died in a hotel room in Abuja, with many Nigerians on X turning their attention to the hotel staff accused of allegedly moving and dumping the man’s body.
The woman, identified as Mrs. Rukayat Muhammed from Garki Area 2, was reportedly arrested after her lover died at the Good Samaritan Guest House in Gwarimpa, Abuja.
According to the account circulating online, Muhammed allegedly left the hotel with the deceased man’s phone without contacting the authorities.
The body was later reportedly moved by two hotel staff members, identified as Ibrahim Omeiza and Kefat Bitrus, to an area along the Kubwa Expressway near the Katampe underbridge on August 26, 2026.
Police investigations reportedly traced the deceased man’s phone to Muhammed, while authorities said the circumstances surrounding the incident did not point to robbery or kidnapping.
The cause of death remains under investigation. The case has sparked a heated debate on X, with several users questioning why the hotel workers allegedly chose to move the body instead of immediately alerting the police.
Reacting to the development, @vibesNfacts wrote “I hope the hotel staffs are prosecuted. Why they couldn’t just call the cops is beyond me.”
Another X user, @opey3mi, said the hotel workers and management should face scrutiny over the handling of the body “All the hotel staffs and their manager deserve scrutiny & punishment too for that nonsense. Going that far just to protect the image of the hotel.”
One of the most widely shared reactions came from @LASTBORNO1, who argued that the focus should not be placed solely on the woman. “Before anyone blames only the woman, let’s talk about the absolute wickedness of the hotel staff.”
The user continued “Yes, the woman fled, but the hotel management finding a dead body and choosing to dump it like trash just to ‘protect their business image’? They deserve every bit of that arrest.”
@SolihmarsTv, meanwhile, speculated about why the woman allegedly left with the deceased’s phone, “She probably thought leaving the phone could implicate her.”
Another user, @MrTeeSaint, focused on the fact that the woman was reportedly married, saying “Married women are worst than single ladies today when it comes to cheating, what a shame to marriage and vows.”

Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Sanusi, reportedly highlighted the role of digital trails and a missing-person report in helping investigators trace the deceased’s movements and identify those connected to the incident.
As investigations continue, the cause of death and the specific circumstances surrounding the alleged actions of the woman and hotel workers remain matters for investigators and, where applicable, the courts to establish.
