The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Borno State has commenced grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections with the flag-off of the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign Movement in Maiduguri.
The campaign, which is aimed at engaging residents directly at the grassroots, brought together APC leaders, stakeholders, community representatives, youth groups, women’s organisations and other supporters.

Grassroots Mobilisation Begins in Maiduguri
The flag-off was led by the Deputy Governor of Borno State, alongside the APC governorship candidate, Engr. Mustapha Gubio, and the member representing Jere Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Satomi Ahmad.
Also present at the event were the APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori; the Borno State APC Chairman; the Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly; federal lawmakers, commissioners and other party stakeholders.
The organisers said the initiative would focus on direct engagement with residents through door-to-door outreach across wards, polling units and local government areas of the state.

Campaign to Expand Across Borno State
According to organisers, the campaign would provide an avenue for party representatives to interact with citizens on government programmes, infrastructure development, socio-economic initiatives and other issues affecting communities.
The organisers described Maiduguri as the starting point of the grassroots mobilisation, which they said would subsequently extend to other parts of Borno State as the 2027 elections draw closer.
The campaign is being conducted under the banner of the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign Movement, in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 elections, and follows the broader APC Presidential Campaign Council approved by President Tinubu for the 2027 polls.
