Nigerian dancer and hypeman Iweh “Poco Lee” Odinaka has broken his silence following his release from detention in the United Kingdom, insisting that he did not commit the offences for which he was charged and urging men to “fear women” in a remark that has sparked reactions on social media.

Poco Lee made the remarks during a video call shared by activist Martins “VeryDarkMan” Otse on Sunday, in what represents his first substantive public response since his release from UK custody.
The dancer said his biggest concern while in detention was not himself but the people around him, particularly those whose businesses and social media activities were affected by his absence.
“I was just being myself. God sees my heart. My only worries out there were about my people,” he said.
He added:
“I am not a small child and didn’t want to stress anyone. Men, use eighteen hours to fear women out of the twenty-four hours in a day.”

Poco Lee’s remark has triggered reactions on X, with some users joking about his warning while others urged caution because of the ongoing legal proceedings.

Poco Lee Denies UK Sexual-Offence Allegations
The dancer said he would have accepted his detention as punishment if he had committed the alleged offences.
“If I was inside there and I did what I was accused of, I would have felt I was paying for my sins, but since I knew I didn’t do what I was accused of, my mind is pure,” he said.
Poco Lee also expressed appreciation to Afrobeats star Burna Boy, Rahman Jago and others who stood by him during his detention.
“Nobody would have wanted to associate themselves with something like that, but Burna Boy stood by me, [so did] Jago and some of my other guys,” he said.
The dancer also suggested that some people appeared happy about his predicament, adding that he did not believe he needed to explain himself to everyone.
Poco Lee’s UK Court Case Remains Ongoing
Despite his release and subsequent public appearance alongside Burna Boy, the legal case against Poco Lee remains active, according to the information contained in the report.
The UK Crown Prosecution Service is said to have confirmed that Poco Lee is scheduled to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026, for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing.
The report states that the CPS described the case as “still live”, contradicting unconfirmed claims by some of Poco Lee’s associates that the complainant had withdrawn the case.
Poco Lee faces five sexual-offence charges in the UK, including two counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The alleged offences were said to have occurred in Tower Hamlets, east London, on July 23, 2026.
He first appeared before Thames Magistrates’ Court on August 18 before the case was transferred to Snaresbrook Crown Court.
Poco Lee travelled to the UK in August for the Davido and Friends concert at Crystal Palace Bowl in London.
