The Nigeria Volleyball Federation has congratulated 12 Nigerian coaches who successfully completed the FIVB Level I Coaching Certification Course in Accra, Ghana.

The training, which ran from August 3 to 8, 2026, saw the coaches complete the requirements for the international coaching certification after participating in the intensive programme.
The Nigeria Volleyball Federation said the achievement represents another step in its efforts to improve the technical capacity of volleyball coaching in the country.
The 12 coaches comprised seven women and five men who demonstrated commitment and professionalism throughout the course.
The Federation noted that the strong participation of female coaches was particularly encouraging, describing it as a reflection of its efforts to promote greater involvement of women in volleyball coaching and leadership.
According to the NVBF, the newly acquired knowledge, modern coaching techniques and practical skills are expected to benefit clubs, schools, grassroots programmes and national teams across Nigeria.
The Federation also commended the FIVB and organisers of the programme for providing Nigerian coaches with the opportunity to improve their professional qualifications.

The NVBF urged the newly certified coaches to use the knowledge gained from the course to contribute to the development of volleyball at various levels.
The Federation said their certification would further expand the pool of professionally trained coaches capable of driving technical excellence, talent development and sustainable growth of volleyball in Nigeria.
The NVBF congratulated all 12 coaches on the achievement and described their success as a positive development for the future of Nigerian volleyball.
