The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced Registration For NCE and Non-Technological Agricultural Programmes following the Federal Government’s approval of a new admission process that waives the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) requirement for eligible candidates.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by JAMB’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, who urged qualified candidates to register at any Institutional Professional Registration Centre (IPRC) in Colleges of Education or any JAMB Professional Registration Centre (PRC) across the country.
According to the Board, candidates seeking admission into the affected programmes are no longer required to sit for the annual UTME, as a revised admission process has been introduced to ensure only qualified applicants gain admission while maintaining academic standards.
JAMB explained that prospective candidates only need to present their O’Level qualifications at the designated registration centres to complete the admission process.

The Board further disclosed that candidates who had already participated in the 2026 UTME but have decided to pursue NCE or Non-Technological Agricultural Programmes can convert their existing applications free of charge by visiting any IPRC or JAMB PRC nationwide.
JAMB encouraged eligible applicants to take advantage of the opportunity by completing their registration promptly at approved centres.
The Board noted that the initiative is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to expand access to teacher education and agricultural training while preserving the quality, credibility and integrity of Nigeria’s tertiary admissions process.
