The board’s Deputy Commander-General, Mujahideen Aminuddeen, issued the warning on Wednesday in Kano, following reports that some individuals were collecting money from intending beneficiaries under the pretext of facilitating their registration.

Aminuddeen urged anyone approached by individuals demanding payment to report the incident immediately to the Hisbah board or relevant security agencies for investigation and necessary action.
The warning comes amid reports of fraudsters attempting to exploit the state government’s free mass wedding initiative by extorting unsuspecting applicants.
