The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has confirmed the departure of Team Nigeria from its training camp in Kaduna to Badagry ahead of the 2026 Zone 3 Beach Volleyball Championship, which will take place from July 3rd to 7th.

The federation on Wednesday said the team wrapped up a successful camping programme that began on June 13, with 16 athletes eight men and eight women undergoing intensive technical, tactical, physical and mental preparations under the supervision of the national coaching crew.
Following the exercise, the NVBF selected an eight-player squad to represent Nigeria at the regional championship.
The women’s team comprises Pamela Bawa, Esther Mbah, Joy Lawrence and Ifechukwu Odoh, while Kayode Ajilore and Amos Felicia will serve as coaches.
The men’s squad includes Peter Ibrahim, Uchenna Augustine Okekearu, Emenike Ezike and Isaac Agwam James, with Iwerima John and Jonathan David named as coaches.

The federation commended all the athletes and coaches for their discipline, commitment, resilience and professionalism throughout the camping programme.
Expressing confidence in the team’s preparedness, the NVBF said it expects Team Nigeria to compete strongly and represent the country with distinction at the championship.
The federation also called on volleyball fans and Nigerians to rally behind the team as it seeks success at the 2026 Zone 3 Beach Volleyball Championship in Badagry.
