Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has approved the launch of a new phase of the Fintiri Business Wallet Programme aimed at empowering micro and small-scale business owners across the state.

The announcement was made by the Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA), operating under the Adamawa State Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development.
According to the agency, the latest phase of the empowerment initiative is expected to benefit no fewer than 72,000 residents, with a focus on supporting small businesses, improving livelihoods, and stimulating economic activities across communities in the state.
In a statement signed by the Director General of PAWECA, Michael Zira Wadaragwo, the agency disclosed that distribution of application forms would begin before the end of the week across all 21 local government areas of Adamawa State.
The agency explained that the programme forms part of Governor Fintiri’s broader economic empowerment agenda aimed at reducing poverty, promoting entrepreneurship, and strengthening grassroots economic development.

Officials said the latest phase is expected to further expand opportunities for local business owners struggling with economic challenges and rising operational costs.

The Adamawa State Government reiterated its commitment to policies and programmes designed to create jobs, encourage self-reliance, and improve the economic wellbeing of citizens.
