The All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken a swipe at former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, accusing him of failing to remain within and develop any political party over time.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, made the remarks while reacting to Obi’s recent political movements and reported realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Morka noted that Obi has been affiliated with multiple political platforms over the years, including the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
According to him, such frequent shifts raise questions about long-term commitment and consistency in party politics.

“Strong political leadership requires dedication to building and strengthening a party from within,” Morka said, arguing that constant movement between platforms weakens internal party structures and undermines political stability.
The APC spokesman maintained that sustainable democratic growth depends on politicians investing time and effort in developing party institutions rather than moving between parties.
The criticism comes amid increasing political activity and strategic positioning by key actors across party lines as preparations gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 elections.
