Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to promoting peace, unity, and cultural preservation as essential pillars for sustainable development and social harmony across the state.
The governor made this known during the World Ngizim Day Celebration held at the historic Emir’s Palace in Potiskum. The event brought together traditional rulers, government officials, cultural groups, and citizens in a vibrant showcase of Ngizim culture and identity.
Represented by the Commissioner for Wealth Creation, Empowerment, and Employment Generation, Alhaji Aji Alhaji Yerima Bularafa, Governor Buni commended the Ngizim people for their unity, discipline, and valuable contributions to peace and development in Yobe State.
He described culture as a priceless bond that strengthens social cohesion, emphasizing that his administration remains dedicated to promoting mutual respect, cultural harmony, and inclusive governance.
Delivering the governor’s message, Hon. Bularafa highlighted the importance of cultural events like World Ngizim Day in fostering communal ties, tolerance, and cooperation among Yobe’s diverse ethnic groups.
