As part of activities to mark the 64th Independence Anniversary of Nigeria, Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, gave out 400 bags of NPK fertilizers to farmers and 200 rechargeable fans to constituents in the Constituency.
According to the House of Representatives member, the initiative was one of his people-oriented programmes that were designed to deliberately address the challenge of food inflation and insufficiency which has occasioned hunger and sufferings in Isoko.
Speaking through his Personal Assistant, Mr. Kingsley Ikodudu on Tuesday in Erawha-Owhe during the distributions of the items, the Isoko Federal Lawmaker said the effort would further enhanced agricultural productivity and financial independence in the Constituency
Hon Ukodhiko said, “As the Federal representative of the people of Isoko-nation at the National Assembly, I’m burdened with the thought of how best to cushion the current economic hardships being faced in the country.
“Thus, my continued efforts in the last few months, particularly in giving the real farmers in our Federal Constituency fertilizers to boost their agricultural productivity and have a bounteous harvest, and today’s exercise is the second phase.” He stated.
Hon. Ukodhiko who is the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Science and Technology lauded the Isoko people for their continued support to his representation, reassuring that he would continue to meet their yearnings and aspirations in line with his 2023 campaign promises he made.
