The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has unveiled what it describes as a bold blueprint to transform Delta State, promising massive job creation, industrial growth, improved infrastructure and transparent governance if its governorship candidate, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, wins the 2027 election.

Presenting its vision ahead of the 2027 governorship race, the party said the election should focus on practical solutions to Delta’s economic challenges rather than political rhetoric.
In a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Fred Akpewe, the ADC said “The Great Ogboru Solution” is designed to unlock Delta’s economic potential through investment, industrial expansion and people-centred leadership.
The party argued that despite Delta’s enormous oil and gas wealth, fertile agricultural land, strategic waterways and abundant human resources, many residents continue to struggle with unemployment, poverty and limited economic opportunities.
According to the ADC, an Ogboru administration would prioritise industrial development, strengthen small and medium-sized enterprises, attract private investment and create an enabling environment for sustainable job creation.
The party said infrastructure development would go beyond road construction to include electricity, water supply, transportation and digital connectivity, all aimed at driving commerce, agriculture, tourism and industrialisation across Delta’s three senatorial districts.
Agriculture was identified as a major pillar of economic diversification, with plans to promote mechanised farming, agro-processing, improved access to finance and modern agricultural value chains to boost food production, create employment and increase exports.
The ADC also pledged to empower young people through vocational training, digital technology, entrepreneurship and innovation by partnering with the private sector to prepare them for emerging economic opportunities.
On governance, the party promised transparency, accountability, fiscal discipline and greater citizen participation, saying these reforms would restore public confidence in government institutions.
Addressing security, the ADC said it would strengthen collaboration with security agencies while supporting lawful community-based security initiatives and tackling the root causes of crime.
The party further pledged to run an inclusive government that gives every ethnic group, community, religion and social class meaningful representation.

Describing the 2027 governorship election as a defining moment for Delta State, the ADC urged residents to assess candidates based on their policies, competence and capacity to deliver results.
It maintained that “The Great Ogboru Solution” represents its roadmap for building a prosperous Delta through economic growth, modern infrastructure, transparent institutions, expanded opportunities for young people and inclusive leadership.
The party added that it would continue engaging Deltans on its policy agenda as the election draws closer, insisting that the future of the state ultimately lies in the hands of the electorate.
