You can’t continue voting for PDP, then expect development – Joel-Onowakpo Thomas

Delta South Senatorial District candidate on the platform of All Progressives Congress(APC), Hon. JoeOnowakpo Thomas, has said that the under-development and poor representation recorded in parts of the area in the past 20 years is as a result of the electorate’s continuous voting for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He spoke when his campaign train berthed in Bomadi, Patani and Burutu Local Government Areas of Delta State, to consult the voters on his ambition to represent the people of the senatorial district in the 2023 general election, The Trumpet gathered.

He noted that he as their son will never deceive his people, stressing that, “the only way for the electorates to enjoy dividend of democracy and experience development is by voting for APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

Also speaking at Bomadi, Patani and Burutu Local Government Areas respectively, a former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Isoko South Constituency 1, Hon. Benjamin Essien Okiemute, said that the leadership of the party deemed it fit to send best hands who are financially committed to its growth hence the candidature of Hon. Joel-Onowakpo.

According to him, “I am here to tell you that with the order of the party, we in Isoko have resolved Hon. Joel Thomas Onowakpo should go to the Senate to represent Delta South Senatorial District.”

A prominent APC chieftain in Burutu local government area, Prof Moses Adagbabiri, said that Hon. Joel-Onowakpo is one of their own and that they are ready to give him their support 100 per cent. He opined that the Isoko supported the Ijaw nation for 20 years, noting that it is their turn to reciprocate the kind gesture.

Responding, Bomadi and Patani Local Government Area Chairmen of APC, Mr Kayode Tinaka, Mr. Seikemiegham Moni and the organising secretary of the party in Patani Local Government Area, Mr.David Ereboh all affirmed their unalloyed support for Hon. Joel Thomas Onowakpo and all candidates of the party in the forthcoming elections.
