Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has boasted that the All Progressive Congress (APC) will no doubt retain power in the state in 2023 general election.
According to him, the party will also retain power at the national level, as it will emerge in a landslide victory at the poll.
The governor who stated this weekend while flagging off the state APC campaign rally in Pantami township stadium explained that the APC administration in the state has substantially delivered on its campaign promises.
He said the state government, since coming on board, has constructed hundreds of kilometres of roads across the state, as well as the provision of quality and affordable health care services.
The governor who went ahead to reel out his achievements which he believed would help the party to win the next election, said he has been able to give quality education to the people and succeeded in putting the state on the path of sustainable economic development among others.
The incredible performance of the APC administration in the state, the structural formation of the party, which according to him, is further strengthened through the massive decamping of some notable PDP stalwarts and their supporters to its fold, he believed will sail the party to victory.
This development, “is not only an indication that the APC is doing well but that the people are satisfied with the party’s political philosophy, hence the high record of numbers of decampees from other parties.

“With the flag off of the APC campaign in the state, the stage is now set for politicking to begin and for candidates to market the party across the State based on the APC superlative performance indicators.”
Also speaking, the party’s national chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu described the mass turnout of the people of the state as a clear indication of the leadership ingenuity and political sagacity of the state governor.
He encouraged the governor not to be swayed by the antics of the few, but to be firm and decisive as he goes about administering policies and programmes that have direct bearing on the lives of the people.
Several members of the opposition political parties especially from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defected to the ruling APC.
