Controversial Nigerian social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has announced his decision to withdraw from the ongoing feud involving members of the P-Square family after facing criticism over his involvement in the dispute.
VDM had come under fire from some social media users after publicly defending Jude Okoye and commenting on allegations raised by Peter Okoye against his twin brother, Paul Okoye, and Jude.
The controversy intensified after Peter presented evidence concerning the long-running family dispute, prompting several Nigerian and international celebrities to publicly voice their support for him.
Liberian actor Frank Artus also criticised VDM’s involvement, urging the activist to stay out of the Okoye family matter.
Responding to the backlash on Monday, VDM said he would no longer involve himself in the P-Square saga, while maintaining that his position was based on his assessment of the arguments presented by both sides.

According to him, after listening to Peter and Jude, he did not believe that any one person should bear the entire blame for the crisis.
“Personally, after listening to Jude and Peter, if you ask me who to put the blame on, I will say I will put 40 percent of the blame on Jude, and I put 30 percent of the blame on Peter, and another 30 percent on the wife, the family and everybody.”
VDM also defended his right to express an opinion on the controversy, despite the insults he received from critics.
“And to the people insulting me, it is not a crime. You can insult people. Now there’s balance in views in the P-Square matter.”
He further disclosed that he would now shift his attention to preparing to appear before a police panel over his allegations against AIG Jimoh Moshood.
VDM’s withdrawal comes amid renewed public interest in the P-Square family feud, with Peter and Jude continuing to present their respective sides of the dispute while celebrities and social media users weigh in.
