Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has stirred reactions online after rejecting social media influencer Peller’s invitation to his wedding, insisting that a direct message was disrespectful and that he should be paid to attend.
The drama began after Peller publicly invited the Zazuu crooner, saying he wanted him at the ceremony because of his celebrity status.
“Omolalomi, we’re specially inviting you to our wedding. We need someone like you at our wedding because you’re a star,” Peller said.
However, Portable fired back, claiming he played a role in Peller’s rise to fame and deserved more respect.

“You’re a spoilt child. Is it not you, Habeeb, that I built? I was among the people that posted you so people could know you. Normally, you and your wife are supposed to bring the cloth to my house and specially invite me. I’m your elder brother,” he said.
The singer also maintained that, as a performing artiste with a busy schedule, he would not attend the event without being compensated.
“I’m a superstar, a musician. Use money call me. August 1, I also have a show that I’ve been paid for, so should I now come to your wedding for free?” he added.
Portable further mocked the planned wedding, likening it to a political rally and criticising the sale of Aso-Ebi to the general public.
He concluded by insisting that a wedding invitation should be delivered in person rather than through a phone message.
