She further commended the Federal Government’s initiative, describing it as a commendable effort to elevate the standard of education and ensure the academic success of students across the country.
The student loan program, spearheaded by President Bola Tinubu, is a flagship project aimed at making higher education more accessible to low-income Nigerians. Just a month into his presidency, Tinubu signed the Access to Higher Education Act, establishing the legal framework for providing loans to students in need.
This development at UNIBEN underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring that no student is left behind due to financial constraints. With this substantial financial injection, the university is poised to continue its mission of delivering quality education and fostering academic excellence.
