The Chairman of Ibi Local Government Council, Muhammed Ajibu, has lauded teachers for their dedication to imparting knowledge within the community.
His remarks came during a three-day training session for mathematics and science teachers from public primary schools, organized by the Kwararafa Galaxy Club.
Addressing the attendees, Ajibu emphasized the importance of continuous training and development for teachers to enhance their skills.
He urged them to seize opportunities for further education to better equip themselves for the task at hand.
Project Officer of TY Danjuma Foundation, Associate Professor Zaku Sabo, echoed Ajibu’s sentiments, highlighting the pivotal role of quality education in fostering rapid industrialization.
Sabo stressed the significance of science and mathematics education in the pursuit of development, especially as many African nations aspire to join the ranks of developed countries.
Sabo emphasized the need for primary school teachers to regularly update their knowledge and skills in science and mathematics through ongoing training, seminars, and workshops to elevate the quality of education provided.

State Coordinator of TY Danjuma Foundation, Emmanuel Ishaku, reiterated the foundation’s commitment to enhancing teacher skills to ensure quality education delivery.
He called upon the state government to prioritize the training and retraining of teachers to optimize their performance in the classroom.
During the event, Dr. Adashu Gani from the Federal University Wukari underscored the crucial role of education in societal development.
He emphasized that primary school-age pupils are particularly receptive to learning science subjects and urged teachers to make science education engaging, meaningful, and practical for their students.
