As President Mohammadu Buhari’s administration is at the verge of giving way to a new administration, various groups from Taraba state have continued to demand that the incumbent Minister of Transportation, Alhaji Mu’azu Jaji be retained.
The most recent of such groups, as noticed by The Trumpet, is the All Progressive Congress (APC) youths and elders from Sentaili Council Ward, in the Jalingo metropolis.
The people who yesterday beckoned on the incoming President-elect, Bola Tinubu, to retain the present Minister of Transportation, said the minister who doubles as the Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Coordinator in the state had affected the party positively in the areas of funding and moral support for the party.
Led by the party’s Welfare Director, Aliyu Mijinyawa, the Minister, according to the group “has not only been supporting the party financially but has always shown strength whenever and wherever it comes to party values and interests.

“Apart from delivering his ward and local government during the just concluded general elections, Jaji also delivered the required percentage of votes in the state to the President-elect.
“Reconsider him by giving him another term in office. It is in recognition of these values after due consultation with party members both at the grassroots and critical stakeholders at the Ward level that has informed the decision by the executive council of the party to pass a vote of confidence on the minister.”
The group said the Minister has been carrying all the people of the state along, irrespective of religious, political parties and tribal affiliations and passionately called on President-elect to include Jaji in his cabinet.
