A 23-year-old suspected motorcycle thief, Joshua Akpotu, has been arrested at Aladja in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.
The suspect, who hails from Ovwian Community, was apprehended after he allegedly stole a Qlink motorcycle belonging to one Efe Mukoro.
The arrest occurred on Thursday when security personnel stationed in Aladja, flagged down Akpotu, while he was riding the stolen motorcycle.

Instead of stopping, the suspect fled, prompting a hot pursuit by the security team. He was eventually apprehended.
Upon interrogation, Akpotu confessed to being part of a gang that targets areas within and beyond Aladja for theft. He led the security team to a hideout where one of his accomplices reportedly resides.
Following his confession, Akpotu was taken to the Ovwian/Aladja Divisional Police Station for further investigation and prosecution.
