Support Tambuwal to be president, Bafarawa urges PDP state chairmen

Former governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa has assured chairmen of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) that one of his successors and presidential aspirant, Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, will not abandon them if he emerges as Nigeria’s President in 2023.

He said Tambuwal would perform better than the incumbent All Progressives Congress (APC) administration. He addressed the party’s states helmsmen at a consultative meeting they had with Tambuwa at Sokoto State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

He charged them to cultivate friendship with stakeholders at all levels for subsequent positive impact after elections. “All aspirants want to see the chairmen now; after the elections, they will forget about you. “I ‘m telling you, the man seated with me here (Tambuwal) will never in life abandon you, The Trumpet gathered.

If I know that he will abandon you, honestly speaking, I will not be with him. So I know who I am following and I am confident that he will never abandon you,” he said.

Sokoto State Governor Tambuwal said that the PDP stands a better chance of winning the 2023 presi- dency if all stakeholders work towards the unity of the party.

Tambuwal, a former Speaker, House of Repre- sentatives, charged leaders of the PDP across all levels to drop every personal ambition, be concerned with the overall interest of the party and shelve acrimony to achieve resounding victory.
