
Senegalese forward Sadio Mane has scored his first goal for his new club, Bayern Munich, against D.C United at the Audi Field stadium in Washington, United States.
Mane, in the game against the American side, opened the score chart for the Bundesliga champions in an encounter that turned into a feast of goals.

The former Liverpool player, who won a double last season before completing a cumulatively £35m move to Allianz Arena to sign a three-year contract, scored a fifth-minute penalty in the 6-2 win for the Bavarians.
Mane has been a key player at Anfield for Jurgen Klopp and complemented the team’s successes since he joined the club from Southampton in 2016.

Last season, the Senegalese who scored the deciding spot-kick against Egypt in the AFCON final, helped the Merseyside club reach the Champion League final in Stade de France where they lost 1-0 to Real Madrid.
Remarkably, Mane on December 19, 2017, scored the only goal in the 227th Merseyside derby against Everton at Goodison Park.
The 2020 CAF footballer of the year who became the second Senegalese to win the award after El Hadji Diouf, guided the national team to win the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon in January 2022.
After Mane got the opener for head coach Julian Nagelsmann, Marcel Sabitzer, Serge Gnabry, Matthijs de Ligt, and Joshua Zirkzee got their names on the scoresheet with Thomas Muller leaving late to make 6-2.
