Manchester United talisman Cristiano Ronaldo is one hell of a footballer that does not condone critics. The forward was recently lambasted by former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher in the fall of Manchester United at Gtech Community Stadium to Brentford where he said: “no other club wants him”.
Ronaldo has been in the spotlight lately following his intentions to leave Manchester United to embrace a new challenge that will provide the enabling UEFA Champions League football.
However, the Portugal international took note of the swipe by Carragher, who is also a Sky Sports football commentator, and waited for the instance to retaliate appropriately.
Carragher has been very critical of Ronaldo but got his pound of flesh at Old Trafford in the run-up to the match between Manchester United and Liverpool.
The 37-year-old, in the run-up to the match, where Manchester United clinched their first Premier League win for the season against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, showed a total disregard for Carragher who at then was in the company of other soccer pundits including Roy Keane, Michael Owen, and Gary Neville.

Ronaldo made a mess of Carragher during the pre-match broadcast, where he bluntly snubbed him after exchanging pleasantries with Keane and Neville.
The Manchester United forward was very affectionate with Keane and especially with Gary Neville, with whom he spent several seconds. Carragher thought that he would greet him next and held out his hand with the microphone, but Cristiano snubbed him. A gesture that speaks volumes of itself.
Recall Carragher, after Brentford thumped Manchester United 4-0, said, “His career has lengthened because he is a great professional, but now he is 37 years old, he will be 38 this season, and he is not the same player. He is still a great goalscorer, but he is not the same footballer as before.
“I may be wrong, but I think that no other club in Europe wants him,” he added.
