Residents of No.39 Jemeni Street in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State have run away from their compounds after one of the occupants simply identified as Fearless killed his friend Mr Wisdom with a knife over a Bluetooth Speaker.
The incident occurred yesterday night when a minor issue ensued between the two friends inside their room.
According to the report, the fleeing suspect, Mr Fearless demanded for his Bluetooth speaker in possession of his female friend, an action that resulted in the exchange of fists, and stabbing of Mr Wisdom.
Also gathered, that Fearless angrily stabbed Mr Wisdom and was rushed to St Theresa hospital where he was confirmed dead leading to residents of the area fleeing for fear of police arrest.
Speaking with our correspondent on phone, the female friend who pleaded anonymity narrated that she collected the Bluetooth speaker from Fearless whom she promised to replace the device as she misplaced it.
According to her: “It was yesterday evening that Chukwulotam told me that one of her girlfriends needed accommodation and I took her to a hotel besides the international market where I had worked.
“While I was about to leave the hotel, the girl pleaded that I should spend the night with her, and while I was in the hotel room, she made away with my Bluetooth speaker that I collected from Fearless.
“When I could not see the girl, I returned to our house that night and complained to Fearless who insisted that I must provide his Bluetooth speaker that night despite all pleas.

“At that moment, Wisdom took it upon himself to ask Fearless to forget about the Bluetooth that we are all friends.
“The intervention resulted in a fight between the two and before we knew it, Fearless stabbed Wisdom leading to serious injury and he was rushed to St Theresa Hospital Abakaliki.
Our source further confided to us that she was a staff of Best Life bakery situated in Abakaliki where she met Fearless who’s from Enugu State and Chukwulotam who’s from Anambra respectively.
“We know each other because I was working at Best Life bakery before I left for a hotel job and I am from Imo state while Fearless is from Enugu, Chukwulotam is from Anambra and Wisdom is an Ezza boy whose father sells birds at the poultry market and the parents are pastor.
When contacted, the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, Joshua Ukandu stated that the command is yet to receive the information as at the time of filing this report.
