The member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has pledged massive votes from Isoko for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election.

Rep. Ukodhiko made the pledge when the Delta South APC Senatorial District Chairman, Chief Emma Amgbaduba, led members of his team and the eight local government area chairmen on a visit to the lawmaker at his country home in Erawha-Owhe, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Amgbaduba, who congratulated Rep. Ukodhiko on his emergence as the APC candidate for the federal constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election, urged him to close ranks with other aspirants who contested the primary.

He stressed that reconciliation, unity and collective mobilisation were necessary to position the party for victory in the general election.

“First, I have come to congratulate you on your victory at the primary election and to appeal to you that everything that happened during the primary should now be put behind us. It is time for us to begin working together as one family,” Amgbaduba said.

The APC leader also charged Rep. Ukodhiko to strengthen the party’s structures in the constituency and give women and youths prominent roles in the campaign.

“We want to encourage you to unite the party in your constituency, reach out to all those who contested against you, put structures in place and ensure that the women and youths are integrated into your campaign structures,” he said.

Responding, Rep. Ukodhiko thanked the Delta South APC leadership and the eight local government party chairmen for the visit, saying he has already begun reaching out to some of the aspirants who contested the primary with him.

He said his focus is now on peace, reconciliation and building a united party capable of delivering victory at the polls.

Rep. Ukodhiko attributed the political stability in Isoko to the willingness of its leaders to work together, despite their differences, saying all stakeholders must put personal interests aside for the success of the APC.

“The governor is our leader and also our son-in-law. Therefore, irrespective of how anyone may feel about the outcome of the primary, we must all come together to give him, the president and our party, the APC, the support they need. By the grace of God, Isoko will bring the votes,” he said.

The lawmaker promised to work with the senator representing Delta South and APC House of Assembly candidates from Isoko North and South to ensure a coordinated campaign and unified message across the two local government areas.

He further declared that he bears no grudge against those who opposed his candidacy during the primary, insisting that the task ahead was bigger than individual political interests.

“I don’t believe in politics of bitterness,” Rep. Ukodhiko said, urging APC members to embrace reconciliation, unity and effective mobilisation ahead of the 2027 election.
