Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has once again stirred public conversation, after daring former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua to a fight on one condition: a ₦1 billion payday.
In a video making the rounds on social media, the self-styled “Zazu” crooner, declared himself the “face of Nigerian boxing,” boasting that no one could take a belt from him.
He went further to claim he is willing to step into the ring with Joshua if the financial incentive is right.
“If they give me ₦1 billion, I’m ready to take you down, Anthony Joshua. I am the face of Nigerian boxing. Nobody can collect a belt from me,” Portable said.
The statement has generated mixed reactions, with many dismissing the challenge as another publicity stunt from the singer, known for his dramatic and often controversial pronouncements.
Portable’s confidence appears to stem from his previous foray into celebrity boxing, where he secured a win in an exhibition bout against Nollywood actor Charles Okocha.
