Mrs. Folasade Odumosu, wife of the former Assistant Inspector General, Hakeem Odumosu has be rescued by police operatives.
Odumosu was Lagos Police Commissioner before his elevation to an assistant inspector general of police and subsequent retirement.
Mrs. Odumosu was abducted on January 9, 2025, at the entrance of her residence in Arepo, Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State
However, the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi on his official X handle on Thursday morning, confirmed her release.

Adejobi stated that the abductors of Mrs. Odumosu were killed and the ransom that was used as bait was recovered from the culprits.
“The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, commended the police operatives and the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, for the rescue operation carried out on Wednesday,” he said.
Adejobi asserted that the police is committed to safeguarding the citizens and the country.
