The Adamawa State Police Command has officially confirmed an attack by unidentified gunmen on Kwapre community in the Hong Local Government Area of the state.
The incident took place on Christmas day, as revealed by Suleiman Nguroje, the command’s spokesperson.
Commissioner of Police, Babatola Afolabi, according to the statement made available to media men by the Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), has taken swift action by deploying officers to the area and initiating an investigation into the matter.
The police, as emphasized by the statement, are urging the public to report any suspicious individuals to enhance overall security in both the state and the country.

During the attack, two individuals lost their lives, according to Mr Simon Buba, the District Head of Dugwaba, who also spoke with journalists.
The perpetrators, suspected to be members of Boko Haram, reportedly arrived on motorcycles, looted food items, and hastily retreated towards the notorious Sambisa Forest.
The situation is under active investigation as authorities work to ensure the safety and security of the affected community and surrounding areas. The district head stated.
