A search conducted on the premises reportedly led to the recovery of 124 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, 12 tablets of 100mg Tramadol and 50 tablets of Exzol.
According to the police spokesman, preliminary investigations indicated that the recovered substances belonged to an individual identified as “G-Man”, who is currently at large.

Fintiri Relaxes Lamurde Curfew as Security Improves
In a separate security development, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has further relaxed the curfew imposed on Lamurde Local Government Area following reports of improved security and sustained calm after a recent crisis.
Under the revised arrangement, residents can move freely during the day, while the curfew will now run from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. daily.
The governor announced the decision in a press statement issued on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou.
Fintiri attributed the adjustment to improved security conditions, noting that residents’ cooperation and the professionalism of security agencies had contributed to restoring calm in the area.
He, however, warned that the government would not tolerate actions capable of undermining the peace achieved in Lamurde.
Security Agencies Directed to Maintain Vigilance
The Adamawa governor said security operatives had been directed to remain vigilant and ensure strict compliance with the revised curfew.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property across the state, urging traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups and women’s groups to sustain their efforts towards peaceful coexistence.
Fintiri also called on stakeholders to embrace dialogue when resolving disputes, stressing that collective action was necessary to prevent a recurrence of violence.
Describing Adamawa as a state known for tolerance and unity, the governor urged residents to work together to preserve peace and strengthen relations among communities.
Authorities Urge Public Cooperation to Sustain Security
The developments in Bauchi and Adamawa highlight ongoing efforts by security agencies and state authorities to address different security concerns, from suspected illicit drug trafficking to community tensions.
While the Bauchi police continue investigations into the alleged drug-related offences, Adamawa authorities are relying on cooperation between residents and security agencies to sustain the improved security situation in Lamurde.
Residents in both states have been encouraged to provide credible information to the relevant authorities and comply with lawful security directives.
