A 67 years old man, Mahmudu Adamu, has been apprehended by the Adamawa State Police Command, for allegedly assaulting an 11 years old girl.
The suspect confessed during interrogation at the state police headquarters, in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.
He admitted to have inserted his fingers into the private parts of three little girls in Ganye local government council of the state.
Mahmudu, who resides at Sabon Layi in Ganye town, Ganye council, was arrested on the 23rd of December, 2023, and voluntarily confessed to having perpetrated the crime.

He told the PPRO of the Police Command, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, that he enjoys putting his fingers into the private parts of little girls to satisfy his sexual desire and vehemently denied raping them.
He said that he releases sperm and feels satisfied sexually whenever he fingers his victims, and blames the devil for the act.
The Spokesman of the Command, Suleiman Yahaya, explained that the accused was nabbed following a report from the parents of the 3rd victim.
He said that the Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola, had ordered for discrete investigation and the prosecution of the suspect upon completion of the investigation.
