The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and DMG Events have strengthened their collaboration with the Bayelsa State Government ahead of PNC 2026, scheduled to hold from November 30 to December 3, 2026, in Yenagoa.
The commitment was reaffirmed on Tuesday during a strategic meeting between NCDMB and DMG Events officials and the Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Dr Peter Pereotubo Akpe, at the Government House in Yenagoa.

NCDMB, DMG Prepare for PNC 2026
The meeting was convened to appreciate the Bayelsa State Government for its longstanding support for the Practical Nigerian Content Forum and to seek continued assistance ahead of the 15th edition.
The PNC 2026 forum will take place at the NCDMB Conference Centre in Yenagoa and will bring together stakeholders from Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
The annual event provides a platform for stakeholders to assess the implementation of Nigerian Content policies, discuss industry challenges and identify opportunities for greater local participation.
NCDMB Highlights Economic Impact of PNC
Leading the NCDMB delegation, the General Manager of the Corporate Communications Division, Dr Obinna Ezeobi, highlighted the economic significance of the PNC Forum and other NCDMB programmes in Bayelsa State.
Ezeobi conveyed the appreciation of NCDMB Executive Secretary, Engr Felix Omatsola Ogbe, to the Bayelsa State Government for its contributions to the forum over the years.
He specifically acknowledged the state’s role in hosting the opening banquet and supporting the Youth PNC, which provides young people in the Niger Delta with exposure to emerging opportunities in the oil and gas industry and skills needed to build careers in other sectors.
New Activities Unveiled for PNC 2026
NCDMB officials said new initiatives have been introduced for the 2026 edition to expand the value and impact of the forum.
The Senior Manager, Zonal Coordination, NCDMB, Mr Adebayo Joseph, discussed plans for the Youth PNC and its continued role in developing young talent.
The DMG Events delegation, led by Ms Olamide Oloko, also presented the main programme and new activities planned for the conference.
One of the new initiatives is the Local Content Roundtable, scheduled for November 30, which will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to discuss key issues affecting Nigerian Content development.
Local Community Contractors to Receive Dedicated Programme
The 2026 PNC programme will also feature a two-day programme for Local Community Contractors (LCCs).
The initiative is designed to support local contractors in scaling their operations and improving their capacity to participate more effectively in the oil and gas value chain.
The organisers said the programme forms part of broader efforts to strengthen local participation and increase value retention within Nigeria.

Another major feature of PNC 2026 will be a breakout session designed to gather stakeholders’ perspectives on the future direction of Nigerian Content over the next decade.
The forum will also host a town hall session involving prominent figures in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
Expected participants include the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd, Chief Executive of NUPRC, Chairman of the Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS) and Chairman of PETAN.
The session is expected to provide an opportunity for industry stakeholders to discuss policy, investment, local participation and the future of Nigeria’s energy sector.
Bayelsa Government Pledges Continued Support
Responding to the NCDMB and DMG Events delegation, Deputy Governor Peter Akpe pledged the Bayelsa State Government’s continued support for the Practical Nigerian Content Forum.
Akpe assured organisers and participants of adequate security during the event.
He also reaffirmed Bayelsa’s tradition of hosting the gala dinner and participating actively in the main conference and Youth PNC.
The Deputy Governor commended NCDMB for integrating some participants from the 2025 Youth PNC into its capacity-building programmes.
He also called for greater participation by senior oil and gas industry officials at the welcome gala dinner.
PNC Forum Targets Greater Local Content Participation
The Practical Nigerian Content Forum is hosted annually by NCDMB and DMG Events as a strategic platform for reviewing the implementation of Nigerian Content policies and identifying new opportunities for investment and growth.
Over the years, the forum has brought together government officials, oil and gas companies, contractors, investors, community representatives and other industry stakeholders.
